Nordea Bank Abp, commonly referred to as Nordea, is a European financial services group operating in northern Europe and based in Helsinki, Finland.The bank is the result of the successive mergers and acquisitions of the Finnish, Danish, Norwegian and Swedish banks of Merita Bank, Unibank, Kreditkassen and Nordbanken that took place between 1997 and 2000. The Baltic states are today also considered part of the home market. The largest shareholder of Nordea is Sampo, a Finnish insurance company with around 20% of the shares. Nordea is listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, Helsinki Stock Exchange and Stockholm Stock Exchange.

On July 2020, a customer named Icarus wrote a review for Appgrooves about Nordea Bank App: Doesn't even open. I've been trying to move the whole thing over on my new phone, but since the code app doesn't even open up on this one, I'm stuck having to use two phones only because of that.

"A typical day at work would be filled with many meetings, some of them relevant but some were irrelevant inefficient. Short breaks during the morning and the afternoon to catch up with colleagues was great, but not always time for that. "Really disappointed with Nordea's customer service. I wanted to open a new bank account with Nordea thus applied online. The next day, I received a call and a sms stating that I would need to make a visit to Branch instead and also been told to bring with me a proof of identity and my health insurance card (yellow card). I brought these with me and took time to visit the branch however, this time been asked to come back with my latest tax return as well transactions on account which I hold with another bank. I went back home and carried all these paper back with me. After making 2 visits, Nordea staff tell me that they cannot open an account for me as I already hold a nemaccount with another bank. I would have appreciated if this was informed before being asked to visit the branch twice for no use. I am an old lady and really disappointed of the way I have been treated! really really bad experience."

I guess Nordea has made a mistake with state and pushing the blame on me or trying to hide it. I have involved my lawyer. If this is the case then I have to warn user community to be very careful while dealing with Nordea.You are most welcome to call me or involve higher authority at Nordea. Br Pulkit Hello Community, I have been dealing with few banks in terms of daily transactions , home loan and so on. I can advise and recommend to stay away from Nordea if you can. They will try to be the nicest person in the world when you go for home loan and once you are trapped, they treat you really bad. Sorry for the language but they treat customers like crap."

"I requested the opening of my bank account one month ago, and after four weeks I haven't got it yet. Yesterday I called the interested branch, and I was told that the person taking care of my procedures is on holiday and apparently no one else can do that, so I have to wait another week. I believe that such long times and inefficiency in providing a service as simple as opening a bank account is unacceptable. Especially in 2020. Really disappointing service so far especially considered that my previous banks opened an account in few days."
